Artwork Size & Resolution

Prepare your artwork at the actual size you want it printed. For example, if you want a design printed 12 inches wide, the artwork itself—not just the canvas—should measure 12 inches wide.

For raster artwork, 300 DPI at the final print size is recommended. We also accept 600 DPI files. Files at 150 DPI may be usable depending on the artwork and application; files below 150 DPI are not accepted.

Vector artwork is preferred for screen printing when available and can be resized without losing sharpness.

Maximum Print & Embroidery Sizes

  • Full-color printing: 15 × 19 inches — 4500 × 5700 pixels at 300 DPI

  • Screen printing: 13 × 17 inches — 3900 × 5100 pixels at 300 DPI

  • Hoodie front printing: 13 × 13 inches — 3900 × 3900 pixels at 300 DPI

  • Hat embroidery: 2.25 inches tall

  • Hat printing: 3 inches tall — 900 pixels tall at 300 DPI

Available design space depends on the item, size, and placement. Contact Team Rokken before ordering if your design requires an unusual placement or approaches the maximum dimensions.

Don’t have an embroidery-ready file? We offer digitizing to convert your artwork into a stitch file. Submit your existing artwork for review and ask about digitizing options, including free digitizing on qualifying large orders.

Vector vs. Raster Artwork

Raster Artwork

Raster images are made of pixels. Photographs and many digital illustrations use this format. Enlarging them beyond their original size can make edges appear blurry or pixelated.

Prepare raster artwork at 300 DPI at the final print size whenever possible. Simply changing a low-resolution file to 300 or 600 DPI does not restore missing detail.

If your artwork is unsuitable for production, Team Rokken will contact you before fulfilling your order.

Vector Artwork

Vector artwork uses paths and shapes rather than pixels, allowing it to be resized without losing sharpness. It is especially useful for logos, lettering, and graphics with defined colors.

Saving a raster image as an AI, EPS, or PDF file does not automatically convert it into vector artwork.

Color Preparation

We accept artwork in RGB or CMYK color mode.

Colors on a backlit screen may look different from colors printed on apparel. Garment color, fabric, ink, and the printing method can all affect the finished appearance.

If your project requires a specific brand color, contact Team Rokken before ordering to discuss your requirements.
